Indian Spices, their English names and my comments

I have been missing from Blogger for quite some time and now that I am back, I will be regular in posting some of the most delectable recipes from the incredible country called India.  I would start with a list of spices which are found and used in the Kitchen across.

This list is in no way complete, and I would be updating this as regularly as possible.  If there is something which I missed, do let me know by means of comments and I will update is at the earliest.

Sajji Raan

Hello people!

I am back after a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time and this time its gonna be a yummy, lip-smacking, fingerlickin' flavors of Balochistan, an arid, desert and mountainous region on the Iranian plateau in south-western Asia, northwest of the Arabian Sea near the Persian Gulf. It mainly includes southwestern Pakistan, southeastern Iran and a very small section of southwestern Afghanistan

What I have in mind to share with you is something not many people know of... a dish called Sajji.  It can be made using either Chicken (Murgi) or a leg of Lamb (Raan).  I made this with a leg of Lamb, and trust me, it was awesome!

Motorcycling and the Art of Cookery

Many people wonder what I do when I am home... well let me douse that burning question once and for all. Being a die hard foodie, who has to constantly fight to keep fit, what I do is watch cookery programs (if I can get my daughters to handover the TV remote), surf the net for interesting and good recipes and then try them out at home... my usual Guinea Pigs are my Mother, my Wife and my 2 Daughters and to a certain extent my extended family of my sisters and their husbands and their kids...
