Motorcycling and the Art of Cookery

Many people wonder what I do when I am home... well let me douse that burning question once and for all. Being a die hard foodie, who has to constantly fight to keep fit, what I do is watch cookery programs (if I can get my daughters to handover the TV remote), surf the net for interesting and good recipes and then try them out at home... my usual Guinea Pigs are my Mother, my Wife and my 2 Daughters and to a certain extent my extended family of my sisters and their husbands and their kids...

Now many may say What ??? A Biker and that too one who cooks? and then go on to think "Maybe his food tastes like the grease which he uses to lube up his bike" or "Which oil does he use? the oil which he puts in the engine?"

Well all I can say is that the three years I spent in a professional college, yearning to become a chef do come in handy when the cooking bug strikes... I mean I always wanted to be a Chef in a big five star hotel, rustle up some magic, get featured on cookery shows and stuff like that but then all things came to a halt when I lost interest in food production in the final year. Just could not will myself to attend the classes and mug up on the various types of Cheese, difference between a blue veined and a normal cheese and so on so forth. So a career in Food Production came to a screeching halt.

I existed in this world, doing what needed to be done to be a responsible son, husband, father and provider, by doing the normal routine of various careers, offices, organizations etc but then one fine day, about 7 years ago, I got bitten by the entrepreneurial bug.

Decided to chuck the job, follow my dreams and ended up starting an Adventure Travel company Himalayan Vacations (erstwhile called Soul Trails Adventures).

Been doing that ever since and although things have not been smooth sailing, I do not regret my decisions. I still have to come across people who would be willing to risk it all to follow their dreams and do what they really want to do.

While I am on the lookout for like minded people, I indulge the Foodie in me by experimenting with cooking... scour the net for recipes and then try them out... and then after having added a twist or two of my own, the final product will be posted here... hopefully with some awesome snaps.
